Hi,

Thyroid imbalances can be very challenging emotionally. In order to understand your worries, I would like to know details about your thyroid illness, such as your age, since when you are having thyroid troubles, your weight loss details, how much weight loss, since how many months, any major diet changes, any other symptoms?

All these will give further clues towards the cause of your symptoms which can then be addressed.

I would like to advise that you seek an endocrinologist, the doctor who is an expert in thyroid illness management because usually hypothyroidism is associated with weight gain and not weight loss.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jatin Bhatia, Radiation Oncologist
