What Causes Rash On The Abdomen After Intake Of Plan B Pill?

I took Plan B one step this morning and developed a rash around my abdomen. I did a Google search and found that I should contact my doctor right away. I took a Benadryl and it seemed to get better. I don t have any other symptoms anymore. I originally experienced nausea. Is the rash something to be concerned about if it has started clearing up?

Hello,

The rash after use of medication can be due to an allergic reaction and in this case, because you are better with Benadryl, it confirms the fact that you had an allergic reaction.
It is important to notice this and let your doctor know about the possible allergy to Plan B pill and also you need to know that use in the future of this pill can cause a similar or worse allergic reaction. Thus, you may need to have alternative ways of pregnancy prevention.
