What Causes Rashes At The Shingles Shot Site And Sore Painful Muscles?

I got the shingles shot two days ago. Now I have a rash (about 4 inches in diameter) at the shot site. I also have muscle aches and soreness all over. I can definitely feel it in my lymph nodes on my neck. Is this a normal reaction and how long will the symptoms last?

Hello
I have been through your question.
According your symptoms you should know that shingles shot can have some side effects like some redness, soreness, swelling, or itching on the back of your arm where you get the shot and less common side effects include headaches. In very rare cases, people have developed a severe allergic reaction to the shingles virus that include swelling of the face (including the mouth and eyes), hives, warmth or redness of the skin, trouble breathing, dizziness, irregular heartbeat, or a slow pulse. But, in your case I think you should be calm because for the moment your symptoms are normal side effects of vaccination that could last till 3 days, including here reaction of cervical lymph nodes (as a result of local side effects).
Furthermore if you see the symptoms of a severe reaction must talk with your doctor.
I hope my answer help you.
I wish you a quick recovery.
