What Causes Rashes On Face Causing Itching Sensation?

I have had a strange rash (small 1/8 to 3/9 bumps, maybe red especially if touched, sometimes itchy) on both sides of my face for months. At times it gets better, but does not go completely away. I ve tried cutting out certain foods, nuts, even tried changing source of drinking water (bottled/filtered) to no avail. Also have changed shampoos, do not use any cosmetics, but see no change for the better. I ve had complete blood tests done and all the results have been excellent. I did try some salves that the doctor prescribed, but they didn t help either. Last night I noticed that just above my temples on each side, I now have what look like liquid filled skin-colored bumps, 3 on the left side and 2 on the right side. What could be the cause?

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many conditions like contact dermatitis due to allergy , sun burn ,chicken pox or herpes.


I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination and to find out the exact cause . Doctor may order blood test or skin test . He/she may prescribe antibiotics/antiviral depending upon your condition.

For now wash your face with antiseptic soap , take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl and take ibuprofen (if not allergic) or acetaminophen for pain and inflammation .
