I have been running a low grade fever between (99-101.8) for 5 wks today, every day! I had an unusual lump appear on my face near my jaw and corner of my mouth that started out like an ingrown pimple on May 13 and progressively and rapidly grew larger each day. I went to the dr. on Wed. the 17th and he did a culture on it. He shot it with antibiotics and a steroid. He also gave me a shot. He prescribed Septra to take orally. About 5 days later I broke out with swelling and a rash from head to toe. I got off the antibiotics. A the culture came back fine. No bacteria. I have been running this fever every day since then. What s causing it and will it go away or is it something more serious?
