What Causes Rashes On The Body And Swelling On The Lips?
My baby is 8 month old and I give him Rahi in form of liquid with almond, I also give him roti, banana, little custard apple, and rice with dal... he is having rashes in his body and swelling in lips ... is he s allergic to something or any hygiene problem... though I try my best to keep him clean. He also have very dry skin
It looks like your baby is having an allergic reaction leading to rashes on body and swelling of the lips or allergic angioedema. It can be due to any food or medication while any soap, detergent or skin cosmetic like oil or cream can also be a cause. You should consult a pediatrician and get evaluated and he can do a blood test to check for the cause of allergy and then avoiding exposure to same can help in preventing symptoms. As of now give him Benadryl to reduce the swelling and rashes and do cool compresses. Feed with plenty of milk and water and also give appropriate diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Honey Arora
