Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My four-year-old has a rash on her face, chest, legs, shoulders. It is bright red and blotchy in some areas. She does not seem to be having symptoms such as trouble breathing, hives, swelling. I know it can be hard to know what is causing redness/rash. I suggested to my daughter to bathe her and use benadryl and hydrocortisone cream. Any suggestions
It is due to hives or urticarial lesion. You can take antihistamines like Pheniramine for symptomatic relief. Also, apply calamine lotion or aloe vera lotion for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, you can consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
