What Causes Rashes On The Face While On Lamictal?

I am currently taking lamictal 100mg once a day for seizures. I titrated from 25mg up to 100mg over a two month period. I get a rash on my face after taking the medication that lessens at night. My urine has darkened and is cloudy looking. I also feel like my rash is starting to be more visible. I feel itchy and like something is crawling on me. My lips are pealing a lot. This is not normal for me. Should I tell my doctor immediately? I don t have a appointment until December. Also, I feel like my lips are puckering and my jaws are locking down all the time. I have to consciously open my mouth and try to relax my face to stop this. With in a minute it happens again. Is this related? Oh, I did not mention before I have partial complex Siezures.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to allergic eruption.

Consult a physician and get evaluated. Antihistamines like cetirizine are required for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
