What Causes Rashes On The Face?

I just stopped taking alesse a birth control pill about 6 days ago. I had been taking it for 11 years. Within the past two days, I have been developing rashes on my face and neck. It looks like a mosquito bite in the middle and then a rash forms around it. What is causing this? Could this be from the change in my hormones?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you are having papular urticaria.
My treatment advice is -
1. Wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on spots.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
