What Causes Rashes On The Legs?

I have a lot of small scratches appearing on my legs in the front part I am 57 years old and no health problems and no medication I am not doing anything or scratching myself, so I am wondering should I be concerned there is something more I should check out...they burn as if I just got scratched by something. I do take a lot of hot showers and haven t been using lotions could that be the problem?

There are many causes for rashes , Viral or bacterial or fungal infections , allergies or skin diseases .

Looking at your description I don't think its due to allergy. I could be either Infections or some insect bite or some skin diseases. Most of the infections or insect bite will have Itching sensation, but you don't complain of itching so most likely it is a skin disease which needs further evaluation.

I advise you to use moisturizing cream for 2-3 days and if it still persists then either upload the picture of the rash or kindly consult a dermatologist.
