What Causes Rashes On The Lower Leg?

I have an exquisitely tender place on my lower leg, slight swelling, and a rash on other parts of the same lower leg. I have PAD. Noticed this tenderness while walking on the treadmill 2 hours ago. Could this be a blood clot? Should I just elevate the leg or go get it checked out?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having bacterial skin infection.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching and NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
