What Causes Rashes On The Neck, Chest And Arms While On Vancomycin?

Hello I recently had a knee replacement (Dec 5, 2016). Then my incision became infected. I was given high does of vancomyocin for about 2 weeks. I since have developed a rash on my head, neck, chest and back, upper arms. I have seen a dermatologist and was diagnosed with dry skin, The treatment suggested to me is not helping. It is itchy red bumps that ooz after scratching and leathery like skin on my back. Can you help so I can get relief from this itch?
