What Causes Rashes On The Soft Palate During A Runny Nose?
i have runny nose and its not the first time. I have delt with runny nose before. Infact, i suffer it every 6 months. sometimes it gets ugly and sometimes just go away ina day or two. But this time i saw rashes on my upper palate and soft palate. This is something m worried about as what is the cause of these rashes?
Hello, Postnasal drip can cause a very acidic environment and the result can be red, inflamed tissue. This is a common condition that you may have experienced before. If this condition is severe or red spots appearing as lesions are present, then you may have an additional infection such as strep. This would require prescription medication and you need to see your physician for an antibiotic prescription depending on the diagnosis. Anti-inflammatory and decongestant medication may help reduce your symptoms. Warm salt water rinses and Keeping hydrated are suggested. If you find this condition returns at regular intervals such as every six months, consider visiting an allergist to determine if there is an irritating condition that you need to avoid or can be treated. Antihistamines such as Benadryl can help reduce symptoms due to an allergy. I hope my suggestions have been useful. Thank you for your inquiry.
