What Causes Rashes On The Upper Body While On Vitamin Supplements?

Hello Dr , My name is Chi C. , I start taking Alive , gummyvitamins for womens 50+ , for few days . I don t know that could cause some rash on my upper body , on my back & around my neck . I have been noticing this symptom for few times . I stopped taking that vitamin thinking that could cause the rash & went back again for 3 days . The reason , I mention this vitamin because it is made by orchard fruits , garden veggies with calcium , Boron & Lutein . I never had that problem before , so I don t know I could blame it on stress or that Alive! (vitamin made by Nature s way) . By the way , I just start with that vitamin recently . Thank you !

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I recommend usage antihistamines daily such as Levocetirizine. I also recommend using Calamine lotion for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
