What Causes Rashes With Severe Itching On The Abdomen?
Hello, since about 2 months ago, my wife has gotten rashes on her body, mainly the torso area, where the rash itches really bad, she would apply hidrocortisone cream and the rash suddenly moves to another area. It s now gotten to the point where it s spreading across her stomach from one side to the next. What could this be?

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is Tinea corporis which is a fungal infection. She must avoid heat and humidity. Topical antifungal creams like clotrimazole can be used along with oral antifungals like fluconazole after consulting your dermatologist. Topical steroid cream like hydrocortisone should not be used as it generally aggrevates the condition .Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
