What Causes Rectal Bleeding And Stomach Bloating Along With Lower Back Pain?

I experienced an episode of bleeding from my rectum this afternoon trying to have a bowel movement, quite a lot of blood, bright red. Never produced a stool. Since then I have had menstrual like cramps,( I ve had a complete hysterectomy,) and low back pain with bloating. Should I be concerned ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should be concerned. This can be related to hemorrhoids, varicose veins of the rectum. Straining in toilet and being constipated can make them worse. Use good hygiene washing them with water and gentle soap . You can use hemorrhoids cream in pharmacy over the counter.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
