What Causes Recurrence Of Tongue Hemangioma?
my friend daughter is suffering from tongue hemangioma. thrice she has been emobilized, twice in hinduja and once in appolo kolkatta, after that her tongue was removed and was again recreated at tata memorial mumbai since last three yrs she was ok but yesterday when mri was done tata memorial doctors found that again hemangioma has started growing. pls advice us

Yes, if lesion is proliferating then either observation or steroids are options, if not proliferative, involuting needs observation. In general all includes:
1. Periodic visits
2. Parenteral support
3. Photodocumentation
- Treatment of more extensive lesions can entail from radical surgery treatment
- Prednisone steroid is commonly used in therapy [under physician guidance only]
- Embolotheraphy is also used in few cases, ndyag, argon, carbon dioxide laser are also gain popularity in treatment
