I have pain in left lower and with pain and burning with urination. I was diagnosed with uti a month ago and treated with macro bid. Symptoms left for about a week but have returned I have had uti several times this past two years. What could be causing g this?
You are having recurrent urinary infections, that is presented by pain and burning sensation during urination. There are many causes and conditions that lead to frequent UTI:
-women are more at risk
-being a patient with diabetes mellitus
-being in treatment with immunosuppressant medications
-being exposed to antibiotic-resistant bacteria
-Ureteral or urethral stricture and urolithiasis.
I suggest you to:
-consult a urologist
-perform an uroculture analysis to diagnose the right bacteria that is causing these infections and also to find the right sensible antibiotic treatment for this infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
