What Causes Recurrent Bleeding After Passing Stool While Having Fissure?

Hi dr! For myself hard stools every day it gathered near anus and I used to push with my hands outside of anus . Few days after bowel movement blood loss happening! I had a bacto scopy and result is fissure ! Now I drink fybogel in a glass of water and using anovate cream . Dr said its not piles but fissure! Now also alternate days blood loss happened after bowl movement ? Shall I go to my diabetic dr too?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you had severe constipation leading to hard stools and due to it there has been tearing of the mucosa of the anal canal and forming a fissure..
It is the cause for pain and blood in stools..
The medications advised to you that is fybogel that is a laxative and anovate gel tht contains a steroid, numbing agent and a blood vessel dilator that helps in improving blood flow in the area and fast up the healing.
You should continue with the same and as you are a diabetic the healing might be a bit slow..
long with it you should also do sitz bath that is sitting in a warm water tub 2 to 3 times a day preferably after bowels..
You should take a high fibre diet and drink plenty of water..
You should avoid spicy foods..
Keep you diabetes under control as it can also worsen constipation as well as delay healing..
In case if there is no resolution within a period of 2 week consult a Proctologist and get evaluated and at times surgical treatment can be advised..
