What Causes Recurrent Bumps After Treating Open Wound?

My 7 year old got a bite from his baby brother about 5 months ago, it was an open wound, we treated with bacitracin for about two weeks, it went away but about two months later the finger swolled up , so I took him to the doctor they put him antibiotics for 10 days, it healed again but about a month ago a cyst kind of bump started to form in the same area, I took him to a hand doctor and he didn t seem that interested into looking at my sons finger, he said that it was nothing, but that bump is really bordering my son, he says that wants to cut it open so I have to imagine he us having a hard time dealing with the discomfort. I don t know what else to do to help him.

Hello and welcome to AAD,
The bump at the site of bite could be a soft tissue reaction against the trauma caused.
However, there is nothing to worry since it is not serious.
In case the bump is painful, I suggest you to take pain killers to resolve the pain.

Thanks and take care
