What Causes Recurrent Bumps On The Pubic Area?

Hi. I have a recurring couple of bumps on my outer pubic area. I am worried it is genital warts. I would like to know if it is. I have seen the same ones come back in the same spot for a month now. I have even cut it off. Could you tell me what you think? I attached a photo. The one near my crease closest to my clit got really long and I clipped it off. And it grew back.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What you are describing to be present at the pubic area appears that it could be 'genital warts'.
Genital warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). It is considered to be sexually transmitted infection. They are soft finger like growths that appear on the genitals.
Visible genital warts often go away with time.
Topical wart treatments can be applied which include application of imiquimod or podophyllin and podofilox over the lesions.
If visible warts do not go away with time, you may require surgery to remove them by means of one of the following:
1. electrocautery - burning warts with electric currents
2. cryosurgery - freezing warts
3. laser treatment
4. excision - removal by cutting off warts
5. Interferon injections
Kindly maintain good personal hygiene.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
