What Causes Recurrent Cough And Cold While Suffering From Hypothyroidism?

Hellow Doctor, I am Hypothyroid patient from last 15 yrs.Now my TSH level is 11.20. My Height is 5 3 , weight is 70 kg, and age is 30 yrs. My concern is I am getting cough frequently almost daily I have running nose and cough in throat. Is it due to Thyroid? And one more thing from last 2 months I am getting bone pain, Is it related to thyroid? Please guide me.

Congestive symptoms and bone pain not related to thyroid problem.


For cold symptoms decongestant like levocetrizine 5 mg OD can be prescribed.


Investigate further with CBC and get a chest X-ray if needed.


Auscultation and PNS X-ray also should be done.


If you have history of allergy than allergic testing might be required.
