73 yr. old man. coughing when he talks, eats, drinks. lungs are clear. possibly mild aspiration? Was admitted to hospital for UTI sepsis. treated and coughing is progressively getting worst. Sounds like fluids staying in throat area, very wet and unable to cough anything out. Any Ideas?

What you describe does raise concern for aspiration. A weak cough reflex is a strong risk factor for aspiration. I would suggest having his swallowing evaluated by a speech and language pathologist to determine the risk of aspiration. He may need significant modifications to his diet if that is the case.
I hope this gives you some insight about your question.
