What Causes Recurrent Cough And High Fever While Suffering From Walking Pneumonia?

I had walking pneumonia in November for 2 months which took 3 antibiotics, oral prednisone, two inhaler s, Albuterol and a steroid inhaler to improve my symptoms. Since then I am still on the two inhalers but have the cough, sounds like some one with bronchitis, and I now get fevers up to 103 that will last for 3 to 4 days then go away. I used to run, then the cough started in November, and now this weekend I had a fever again of 101 to 103 for 3 day. What could be causing a cough and reoccurring fevers since having walking pneumonia. Thank you!
