What Causes Recurrent Cough And Nasal Congestion In Spite Of Giving Ambrodil Syrup?

My 2.5 years daughter having cold in every 15-20 days with heavy cough n sneezing and blocked nose, her doctor is now said to give ambrodil syrup from last 2.5 months 5ml each day. Still her allergy didn't go. We are really fedup with her everytime problem. Because of this she is not gaining her weight she is just 10.3 kg. Please doctor help us to keep her healthy.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain first thing that I would like to tell you is that Ambrodil syrup contains active ingredient Ambroxol that is a mucolytic agent that helps in loosening up the mucous and ease in release and helps in relieving congestion..
In case if she has allergy she must be given Ambrodil-S that contains Salbutamol and is a bronchodialator and helps in relieving coughing caused due to allergy.
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get her evaluated and necessary investigations can be done for relief..
She can be advised anti-allergics like benadryl, broncodialators and cough suppressants..
