What Causes Recurrent Cough In Infants Despite Taking Medications?
Hi my baby had cough and about a month ago and was treated with antibiotics and cough syrup. Now the cough is back without the catarr and she s been taking Rhinatoil for 5days, neither getting worse nor better. Am scared of giving another antibiotics as she took same barely one month ago
I am sorry your baby's cough is back again. As the doctor prescribed Rhinathiol which has the mucolyticcarbocisteine as main active ingredient, it means she is having phlegm coughing. To me, should add aerosol therapy, together with nasal spray and hygiene.
Plus, take supplements to boost her immunity containing Echinacea, Propolis and vitamin D. If still no improvement, should get rechecked by her caring doctor. It's very important to boost her immune system through healthy eating, fresh air, and immune system booster supplements.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
