What Causes Recurrent Diarrhea?

I am a 67 year old woman who is in very good health. Two weeks ago I started having loose stools. Today alone I have had a runny bowel movement seven times. The one thing I did different was I started my annual January cleanse on the 11th of January using only Chlorella.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
I hope I have answered your query.Chronic and recurrent diarrheas may be sign of parasitic infections so you need to do stool analysis for a start. Some bacterial infection or food poisoning is not likely if this is recurrent. Second possible thing are inflammatory bowel diseases which may manifest on this way so colonoscopy should be done if parasitic infection is not present and this will reveal possile Crohns or ulcerative colitis..
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
