I am a 32 year old woman, I work full time and have an 11 year old daughter. I have been having progressively worsening throat discomfort. it started out a couple years ago, it felt like there was food or something stuck in my throat. I figured it was nothing, but it s been getting worse over the last 2 years. when I talk too long or too loudly it seems to make it more obvious, or if I drink hot drinks or eat rough feeling foods(such as chips or raw veggies, baked breads, etc.). It feels like something is in my throat, I can t swallow it away and my glands feel sore and swollen. now my throat seems to be sore a lot. I think part of the problem is seasonal allergies, but the feeling that something is stuck in there and the tenderness when i push on my neck area causes me some concern, especially since it has gotten gradually worse and has been present for 2 years. It doesn t go away, but as I said it does seem to be worse after loud talking or for long periods of talking or after eating or drinking certain foods
