What Causes Recurrent Fainting Spells Along With Nausea?

I have passed out and woke up in an ambulance 3 times within 2 years. They blame it on low blood sugar but I do not believe that. I know I am going to pass out because I cannot see, I can t focus, and then I go out, completely out. I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto disease and doctors feel once my thyroid gets moving or the drugs get it moving, my blood sugar will balance out. I just don t feel good. Nauseated, not grounded, eye sight I am finding hard to focus.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You seem to be suffering from hypoglycemia. Hashimoto's disease causes insulin imbalance in the body which leads to hypoglycemia. I would advise you to monitor your blood sugar regularly and try to maintain your blood sugar in the normal range. As your physician has told you, once your thyroid levels are under control, your blood sugar levels will also return to normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma.amman
