Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Recurrent Fatigue Feeling And Joint Pain?
I was stuck by a diabetic man s blood sugar lancet immediately after testing his blood sugar. This guy was 74, not in good health, could barely walk, a diabetic for over 20 years and soon after this incident was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Nearly 4 months later, I am so fatigued and my joints ache continually. This has been a gradual onset and I don t know if it s all in my head or not, but I don t feel healthy as I did before this happened.
Recurrent fatigue and joint pain is unrelated to your needle prick incidence since bladder cancer is not an infectious disease. It cannot spread from person to person. Hence, do not worry. I would suggest you to rule out any fever, scaly rash and any abnormalities in complete blood count, ESR, RA factor, serum uric acid and creatinine. These investigations will help in identifying the cause of arthritis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
