General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Strep can be associated with fever, chills, sore throat and ear pain that may be due to referred pain from the throat.

The muscle aches may be related to the associated illness eg viral illness that may be associated with sore throat.

The use of the antibiotics and anti inflammatory pain medications is appropriate.
Some persons can be non responsive to certain antibiotics so if there is no improvement for 3 to 4 days then you may need an alternative antibiotic.

I hope this helps
