What Causes Recurrent Fever Despite Giving Centamol In A Child?
My son 8years old, has got fever around 102, due to climate change. As suggested by doctor I gave him Centamol 250, 7.5 ml. Doctor advised me to repeat dose every after 6 hrs. But fever returned again in three hrs. Kindly advise if I can give this medicine in gap of 3 hrs. Or should I wait till 6 hrs. How I control temp till I give medicine. Presently I am sponging him and it s midnight , I can not talk to doctor. Pl help Centamol 250 is paracetamol paediatric suspension IP Pl advise
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that yes you can sponge inbetween for fever and increase the dose of centamol to 10ml. If fever is more than 10 days then kindly consult a paediatrician to run blood test a ultrasond Abdomen.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
