What Causes Recurrent Fever Despite Giving Fepanil To A Child?

Hi Doctor GE, My son who is 2.6 years old has fever and I gave him Fepanil 250 3.5 ml at 12 in the noon and he started having fever again by 3:30 PM so I gave him 3.5 ml of Fepanil at 4 PM, is that okay? because the doctor asked me to give the syrup once every six hours, please help me. Thank you.

I really appreciate your concern, 'FEVER is FRIEND" in pediatric patient reading of body temperature is very important and anti-pyretic can only be given when the body temperature goes beyond 100 F, cold sponging is the best option to bring down the body temperature instead of giving medicine, and most important is treating the underlying cause of fever, hydration need to be taken care hope this information helps.
