What Causes Recurrent Hard Bump On The Forehead Of A Child?
Hi my 5yr old son had a knot to come up on his forehead that went down after a day or so only to come back and go away again. Now he has a different one on the right side of his head, a little smaller than a golf ball, its not painful. He does play sports but hasn t had any contact or injuries. What would you suggest?
Recurrent swelling on the forehead could be due to the formation of bullae or large blisters. Bullae are large fluid-filled lesions which may resolve spontaneously.
I suggest you consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment. You may require to consult a dermatologist also.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
