What Causes Recurrent Hard Bump On The Forehead Of A Child?

Hi my 5yr old son had a knot to come up on his forehead that went down after a day or so only to come back and go away again. Now he has a different one on the right side of his head, a little smaller than a golf ball, its not painful. He does play sports but hasn t had any contact or injuries. What would you suggest?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Recurrent swelling on the forehead could be due to the formation of bullae or large blisters.
Bullae are large fluid-filled lesions which may resolve spontaneously.

I suggest you consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment.
You may require to consult a dermatologist also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
