What Causes Recurrent Large Lump On Left Side Of Neck?
I have a knot at the hairline of my left side of my neck. I believe it may come and go? Right now it s quite large and my neck and left side hurts a little. What kind of dr. Should I go to get it looked at? A dermatologist or regular family practitioner?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have recurrent large lump on left side of neck. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like lymph nodes , inflammation of thyroid gland , neck muscles , salivary glands or lipoma . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like blood test , CT scab , blood test along with biopsy . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin , anti inflammatory and may recommend surgical removal or liposuction . For now apply warm compresses , do not touch it gain and again and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
