What Causes Recurrent Low Grade Fever?

Sometimes, I have this fever (for lack of a better word) and it s below 98.6. Today, I took my temperature and it was 97.0. It has been 97.5 one time and 98.5 sometimes. When I feel my forehead the skin feels like it is on fire. This has been going on for years and now I am asking this question because I am going to have heart surgery soon and I just want to make sure that it is harmless. Do you have any idea what this is and how can I make it go away?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a physician and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible infective causes. Do a complete blood count. Probably you will improve with antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
