What Causes Recurrent Pain In The Shoulder After An Accident?

HI, there! On January 9,2017 I was in an automobile accident. I was checked out at the hospital and they said I was okay even though I left with my right shoulder hurting and my right leg hurting. I was given ibuprofen. Since then I ve had right shoulder pain that comes and goes depending on the movement. I ve also had pain in my right thigh that just happens when I m walking or running. It kind of feels like a shock and I have to stop and it goes away. It happens several times a day.Sometimes when I fold my leg underneath me it happens and I have to straighten my leg and wait a few moments for it to go away. I m concerned as to what is going on. I currently have no insurance since I just became self employed and divorced and am unable to go to a doctor due to financial constraints. Further information: I am diabetic type 2 and have an underactive thyroid. What can I do to get better?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult an orthopedician and get an MRI scan done.

As of now, analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol can be taken for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
