What Causes Recurrent Rashes On Armpits After Taking Alcohol?
I have a rash that started under my left arm pit and after a few days it went to my right pit to...it s worse on my left arm pit...it s like a big circle around my arm pit goes down my side and down under my arm...had it for a few weeks...I tryed hydrocortisone calamine and lotion...past week I been using athletes foot clotrimazole cream...it seems to be geting better...less red...but every time I drink it seems to get worse...more itchy...can this rash be from drinking to much over time...or what could it be?
The rash on the armpit seem to be related to a fungal infection. It does not seem to be related to the use of alcohol. I recommend using an antifungal cream such as Clotrimazole cream for local application. I also suggest to prevent sweating.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
