What Causes Recurrent Redness In The Eye?

Hi I went to the eye doctor a week ago because in the corner or my eye (towards the nose) it is red. He said it was inflammation due to something and then gave me eye drops. I was supposed to use them 4 times a day but was really bad with it and did it a few days within a 4 day interval and then went on vacation and now my eye is red again in the corner.

Hi,

Red eyes usually are caused by an allergy, eye fatigue, over-wearing contact lenses or common eye infections such as the pink eye (conjunctivitis).

However, redness of the eye sometimes can signal a more serious eye condition or diseases, such as uveitis or glaucoma.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Monish De, Oncologist
