What Causes Recurrent Sore Throat, Inflamed, Painful Ears, Palate And Gums?

OK< I was coming on to do an on line search, but here goes. I am prone to sore throats. I went to the urgent care clinic in Aug and got an antibiotic for a sore throat, even though the strepp test proved neg. Now, 2 months later, same symptoms, soar throat, red, inflamed, ears hurt, but also, the roof of my mouth and gums are inflamed. I was at the dentist this week , and he noticed it too and thought it might be allergies and advised me to rinse w Benadryl. I am flying on Fri and don't want to be sick on vacation....

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The throat infection associated with, soreness in the gums and palate can be because of herpetic gingivostomatitis. Nothing to be panic, consult a good oral physician and get it evalauated. Mean while take sypmtomatic treatment like topical anesthetic like lignocaine. Topical analgesics like choline salicylate. Do saline gargling.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
