What Causes Recurrent Swelling Of Face And Fingers Post Intake Of Diclomol?

I am a 40 year old female and have been taking diclomol 325 mg for severe migraine pain for almost last one year, though not very regularly. I have noticed that I have been having swelling in my face and fingers for quite sometime. I got my KFT and LFT test done to ascertain if it is because of kidney or liver problem. But the tests suggested that they are fine. Also my pulse rate is 56 and blood pressure is measured as 125-60. Can this problem be a side effect of Diclomol.

Hello,

From your message I surmise that I think this swelling occurs only when you take the medicine. And it reduces as the effects come down.

If that's the case it might be an allergic reaction to the medicine. I would recommend not taking this medication. You may try a simple medicine like Paracetamol for your headache along with simple antacid like Ranitidine.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
