What Causes Recurrent Vaginal Bleeding After Having Sex?

I have been on depo for five years. I have never had any bleeding other than light spotting towards the next shot. Sunday I had started bleeding after sex and it continued until wednesday and I thought it was a period. Well today I had sex with my boyfriend and bleed afterwards. We are both std free.

Bleeding after sex can be a sign of a health condition: an infection, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), or a sexually transmitted infection (STI), such as chlamydia. You need to check your hormonal levels and do ovarian ultrasoun dto rule these causes out and then right treatment can be started. Wish you good health. Regards
