Hi,
Nexplanon implant belongs to the group of medications known as progestins which is used to prevent
pregnancy. After removing the Nexplanon implant from the body, some side effects may happen like changes in the menstrual cycle, lighter or heavier cycles, prolonged or shorter menstrual periods, cramping during ovulation, premenstrual symdrome (PMS),
depression, mood swings, weight changes, acnes, unwanted hair growth, headache, tender breasts, changes in sex drives, spotting or withdrawal
bleeding between periods,
vaginal discharge etc.
Most women return their normal menstrual cycle and
fertility within a month of removing the Nexplanon implant. In some cases, it may take longer time than one month to get back their menstrual periods. As I have mentioned earlier that vaginal bleeding or vaginal discharge may be dischargeable after removing the Nexplanon implant.
Take care. Hope I have answered your questions. Let me know if I can assist you further.
