What Causes Recurring SVT Inspite Of Having An Ablation?
i had svt and had an ablation done. My doctor told me if it did not come back within the first 6 months, then he got it and it wouldn t bother me again. But last night i had a very short occurance that maybe lasted 5 seconds at the most, when usually they would last for about 45 minutes. is it normal to have it re-occur after 8 months?
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Once the hymen is surgically opened up, there should be no physical obstruction except the girl has fear, anxiety or inhibition in psychological respect. Take her to a psychotherapist for sexual counselling. She should learn body and mind relaxation technique. The girl has pelvic inflammation. Needs to be physically examined by a gynecologist to exclude or confirm the thing. Specific medicines would heal it.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
