What Causes Recurring UTI And Frequent Urination Post A Choleocystectomy?

Before having my gallbladder removed, I was throwing up, and sick to my stomach all the time, but afterwards I became numb to my stomach. I ve been getting uti and kidney infection off and on in the last 2 to 3 mouths. I went to the er recently and they found no infection, just blood in the urine. I can t take many more antibiotics because the doctor s said it would damage my immune system... I can t stop urinating, and the discomfort makes it hard to sleep. I ve been to countless doctors and I m running out of patience and money to give to any more.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to cholecystectomy. Go for a urine culture and sensitivity and start antibiotics according to the culture results. Nothing much to worry and most cases respond well to antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
