What Causes Recurring Bartholin Cyst?
Hi, I have a Bartholin cyst AGAIN, I had it once before about 6 months ago, very painful and they had to drain it but couldn t put the catheter in because I m allergic to latex. It has come back with a vengeance. It is larger than before, I am in pain, can t walk, and can t urinate! I couldn t schedule an appointment till the 6th of April and I m at the end of my cycle. What should I do??

Hi,
Recurrence is common problem with cyst if there is a small part of sac remains intact.
It requires excision of cyst with complete removal of sac.
As you you do not get appointment till April either you go to ER or go for one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course for 5 days.
This will give temporary relief from pain and induration.
Go for proper cleaning and do antibiotic cream dressing.
OOk and take care.
