What Causes Recurring Boil On Vaginal Opening?

I have a boil on my vigilant lips, when I went to the bathroom to urinate I notice blood in the toilet I wiped myself and on the tissue was blood and a clot. Why so much blood from one bump, and what causes these boils to keep coming back? Is it because I wear panties liners everyday. Please explain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Recurrent boils on vaginal opening indicates infection, probably due to poor hygiene or incomplete previous treatment.
Maintain good hygiene by use of antiseptic solution like 'V wash'.
Apply neomycin ointment twice daily. Wear loose undergarments to provide good ventilation. Take Tablet. Amoxicillin with Clavulinic acid combination twice a day for 5 days.
Despite this, if the infection doesn't subside, you need to get the following investigations done and treated accordingly.
1. Culture and sensitivity from the wound site.
2. Fasting and Post Prandial glucose to rule out diabetes mellitus.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
