What Causes Recurring Boils On Face?

I have reoccuring boils on my face which start as huge cysts and they ooze odorless clear liquic. Once they open up they look red inside with white little dots that I can pick out like dried up puss or something. Can you please e-mail me what this could be? Do you think oral herpes? They re mostly on chin but have been on sides of my face and forhead. I ve been on bactorban, bactirm and minocyclene and they are still coming out....thank you! My e-mail address is: YYYY@YYYY

I can understand your concern for recurring boils on face. I can get from your query that you have quite large boils and these are most often related to Cystic acne of the face. You have not mentioned your age, gender and related medical history to guide you best for the part of the treatment.

In all your kind of cases I generally opt for the Vitamin A ester i.e Isotretinoin as drug of choice. It is one of the best drugs which reduce the chances of formation of large cyst by its various mechanisms. If you are not married female and if you are not conceiving in next couple of months then you can discuss this treatment option form a dermatologist. You can take further guidance from your treating dermatologist.
