What Causes Recurring Bruise On Lower Spine Area?

I keep finding unexplained bruises on my 4 yr olds lower spine area. It appears very quickly and disappears within a few days. The weird thing too is that it looks like an old bruise on the first day. This has happened 5 times now. He doesn t seem to be in any pain and hasn t hit it that I know of any of those times. What do you suppose could be the cause?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You should do him a blood test to check for platelets count and other coagulation issues. Possibly he is having a coagulation probably which is making him bruising by minor trauma.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
