Hello,

You are suffering from recurrent burning sensation in the abdomen with chest pain. You are taking antacids with no relief. Burning pain in the abdomen is indicative of indigestion, gastritis, GERD, PUD, peptic ulcer disease, kidney stones, etc. Pain on the right side may be suggestive of appendicitis, gallstones, hepatomegaly, etc. You are suggested to take PPIs, one stat when needed to get relieve from gastritis and indigestion.

You will also have to control your diet, merely taking medicines will not work. Take boiled food for 2-3 months. Food should be home made, well cooked, balanced, fresh & nutritious. Avoid taking any oily, spicy, and junk food. Take food in time and do not skip meals. Add berries, fruits & veggies in your regular diet. Get clinically examined for any developing peptic or duodenal ulcer, appendicitis, gallstones , liver dysfunction, etc., get imaging tests, endoscopy, etc., done. You will be accordingly treated.

If appendicitis or gall stones is detected, surgery may be recommended by your treating doctor. In case of lower abdominal pain with burning sensation, get Urinalysis done (R/E & C/S) if E.coli or UTI is detected, you will be treated with antibiotics and analgesics. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
